≡ JAGDUMP For Wildcat 5.x Systems ≡
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
PURPOSE:
-------
JAGDUMP5.WCX is a utility to delete any annoying, bad users and
add them to BADNAMES.LST all in one step! JAGDUMP5 also offers an
option to create a "Hello" or "Bulletin" .BBS screen with the name of
the latest user to be BANNED from your BBS! JAGDUMP5 can also create
an HTML page that can ve viewed with any HTML browser! Just simply
create a link to JAGDUMP5's HTML page and your callers using MSI's
Navigator will be able to see who has been BANNED as well! You can
also configure JAGDUMP5 to send a message to the Sysop confirming that
the user has been "dumped". JAGDUMP5 was designed to help discourage
any inappropriate behavior by users of your BBS system!
IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED A JAGGER WCCODE PRODUCT:
---------------------------------------------
JAGDUMP5 is offered FREE only to those who have purchased any of
the Jagger wcCode products. JAGDUMP5 does require a keyfile to run
without the nag screen. You recieve this keyfile, JAGDUMP5.KEY, once
you register any of our Shareware programs! If you have registered
a Jagger wcCode program, many thanks for your registration and we offer
JAGDUMP5 as part of our appreciation!
IF YOU HAVE NOT PURCHASED A JAGGER WCCODE PRODUCT:
-------------------------------------------------
If you have NOT registered a Jagger wcCode product, you will see
a nag screen when you run JAGDUMP5. However, hang on to JAGDUMP5 and
if you register any of our wcCode Shareware programs we will send you
a keyfile, JAGDUMP5.KEY, that will enable JAGDUMP5 to run without nags.

FEATURES:
--------
* Offers what Jagger Creative Services is known for....
A w e s o m e A n i m a t i o n !
* Deletes the user's account and adds them to your BADNAMES.LST
in one shot! It couldn't be any easier!
* The quickest, easiest way to get rid of any annoying user!
* Creates a "Hello" or "Bulletin" .BBS screen listing the lastest user
to be BANNED from your BBS. This is helpful in discouraging other
users from causing any problems while on your BBS.
* Also will create an HTML page called JAGDUMP5.HTM. This is so you
can display the latest BANNED user to your callers that use MSI's
Navigator program. This page can be viewed with any web browser.
* Installation .WCX program, DUMPCFG5.WCX, to ease the setup burden and
creates all files that JAGDUMP5 needs to operate properly.
INSTALLATION:
------------
1. Unzip the contents of the JAGDUMP5 archive into your Wildcat 5
home directory (usually called "C:\WC5\")!
2. Use wcMenu to modify your Sysop Menu. All you have to do is add
a menu key to your Sysop Menu, make it "Run a wcCode program", then
choose "JAGDUMP5" from your choices of wcCode programs to run!
3. Also use wcMenu and set up your Sysop Menu to run DUMPCFG5.WCX.
After configuration you can remove DUMPCFG5.WCX from your Sysop
Menu unless you think you will be reconfiguring JAGDUMP5 often.
There is an alternate way to run DUMPCFG5.WCX without setting it
up as a menu choice. This alternate method is as follows:
In DOS, from the Main WildCat! Home directory run DUMPCFG5.WCX
using the wcRun -r command line switch. Do NOT use the ".WCX"
on the end! Example:
wcRun -r dumpcfg5
4. Whether you run DUMPCFG5.WCX as a menu choice or from DOS, simply
run it to set up and configure JAGDUMP5! DUMPCFG5.WCX will take
you step by step through the configuration process. DUMPCFG5 will:
- ask if you want a "Hello" or "Bulletin" BBS created. If so,
you will have to enter the FULL path (including filename) of
the .BBS screen that you want created.
- ask for your Wildcat Home dir path (normally it's C:\WC5\ ).
- create a sub dir called (WC 5 home dir)\HTTP\Jagdump5\ .
This is the directory it will create it's HTML pages in.
Also, the 2 .gif files will be moved to this dir when you run
DUMPCFG5.WCX. The .gif files are used by JAGDUMP5's HTML page.
If you need to make changes later, simply rerun DUMPCFG5.WCX!
5. You're done, now run JAGDUMP5!
HTML OUTPUT PATH:
----------------
JAGDUMP5 will create it's HTML page, called JAGDUMP5.HTM, in the
(WC5 home dir)\HTTP\Jagdump5\ subdirectory. The 2 .gif files included
with this archive must also be in this Jagdump5 directory for the HTML
page to display properly. You can leave JAGDMP1.GIF out if this dir if
you would rather the JAGDUMP5.HTM page be displayed with a white back-
ground, however do NOT leave JAGDMP2.GIF out of the JAGDUMP5 directory.
WHAT ARE HTML PAGES:
-------------------
Hyper Text Markup Language is the language of the Internet. Web
browsers (Netscape, Mosaic, etc.) can display text and images by using
the HTML language. Wildcat 5 features a graphical interface that also
uses HTML pages. This program creates HTML pages for use with WC 5!
ADDING JAGDUMP'S HTML PAGE TO YOUR WC5 BBS HOME PAGE:
----------------------------------------------------
Once you dump a user, JAGDUMP5.HTM will be created (if you opt
to create an HTML page). You can add JAGDUMP.HTM to your Wildcat 5
BBS home page by using the following line of HTML code:
<A HREF="Jagdump5/Jagdump5.htm">Dumped Users</A><P>
That's all there is to it! See your Wildcat 5 manual for any further
instructions on creating links from your WC5 BBS home page.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
--------------
All log files, configuration files, and key files for registered users
will be located in your Wildcat 5 data directory (usually it is called
"C:\WC5\DATA\"). This is so that these files would NOT clutter up your
Wildcat 5 home directory.
